Is it true that wearing glasses will actually worsen your vision when you start wearing them?

or do they make them better or do they have no effect in making them worse or better? Is it true that wearing glasses will actually worsen your vision when you start wearing them?
Most people notice that their unaided vision gets worse after wearing glasses for a while and then taking them off.

Whether our vision gets worse or not is dependant upon how we respond to glasses. Most people continue with the incorrect vision habits which gave them blurry vision in the first place, so most people who get glasses or contacts get stronger and stronger artificial corrections year after year.

Squinting and staring are a couple of the incorrect vision habits that give us blurry vision.

Artificial corrections don't make our eye muscles weak, in fact our eye muscles are many times stronger than they need to be. Eyes that are blurry are not weak, they are strained and over exerted from incorrect use.

Most eye problems are not genetic, but they are often inherited behaviors just like having the same language as your parents or other habits as your parents. Is it true that wearing glasses will actually worsen your vision when you start wearing them?
Not entirely true, but not entirely false neither.

Wearing glasses, particularly ones that are too strong a prescription for your actual eyesight, will cause your eye muscles to become 'lazy'-- the glasses compensate for what your eye muscles used to. If you have a correct prescription, this will be minimized.

In any case, the alternative is to not see well, so the choice is obvious.
i'm supposed to wear glasses but i don't. personally, i think they make my eyes worse. my eye sight isn't getting better alone, but i feel if i wore glasses, they would be way worse, way faster.

if you decide not to wear your glasses, don't squint. it makes your eyesight worse.
If I don't wear mine I can't see the distance well at all, and sometimes I don't want to wear them but will not squint my eyes so as I can see the distance, if you do that then you can weaken your eyes go closer if you must see something or wear your glassess but don't atemp to see something you can't that is what the optomatrist told me, now I carry mine every where so when I need to see I wear them and when I don't I take them off.
no its actually the opposite.glasses will imrpove your vision/

contacts have no effect on eye sight

and laser eye surgery only works for 2 years and then it weakens even worse.
I think it just makes the muscles in your eye not as strong and unable to focus as well to compensate for the problem with your eyes. Totally reversible.
Wearing them doesn't necessarily make your eyes better..

If you have bad vision and you don't wear glasses or your prescription is old... your eyes can get worse from squinting ect..
one thing to say GLASSES MAKE YOUR EYES WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
