Is it true that the chances of Strabismus surgery succeeding is much lower if u have very bad vision in 1 eye?

and that eye that have the very bad vision will be the eye that the surgeons will perform the surgery onIs it true that the chances of Strabismus surgery succeeding is much lower if u have very bad vision in 1 eye?
NO it is not true

mom has had several strabismus surgeries, they are all successful, the surgery doesn't repair the vision it only lines up the eyes so you look straight ahead like everybody else, everyone with this condition has worse vision in the effected eye, so that isn't a big deal, and yes that is the eye the doctor should be correcting.

like mom's doctors told her, she fell through the cracks as a small child, all this should have been corrected before the age of 5 not at 35 and 45, so the only promise any one would make her is that after the healing of the surgery she would be prettier because her eyes would line up and folks would stop saying look at me when you talk (she really was but because of her bad eyes she didn't appear to) the surgery does nothing to fix your bad vision, you will still wear glasses after your done
