Is it true that only 144000 Israelites are sealed, by the angel apostle John saw in his apocayptic vision?

In Revelation chapter 7 Apostle John writes that he saw an angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God and he heard the number of those who were sealed; one hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed.


In another verse it is written that the angel is in the process of sealing 鈥榮ervants of God鈥? Why shouldn鈥檛 we assume that there are numerous others from tribes other than Israel are getting sealed? Then why should some scholars teach that all those are sealed include the 144000? What is the scriptural basis to assume that only 144000 are sealed?Is it true that only 144000 Israelites are sealed, by the angel apostle John saw in his apocayptic vision?

144,000 is Hebrew numerology for 12 x 12 x 1000 meaning 12 tribes x priesthood x a lot of people.Is it true that only 144000 Israelites are sealed, by the angel apostle John saw in his apocayptic vision?
Revelations is filled with symbols. 144,000 is a symbol.
it is true that is what he records that he saw but I do not think God has set that number.

This 144,000 were those that decated their lives solely to God.
