I have been told the USMC will pay for vision correction surgery of some kind. Is this true?

Cause if it is im getting it immediately after boot campI have been told the USMC will pay for vision correction surgery of some kind. Is this true?
Yes it is true for all services. However, in many cases there are waiting lists so it is a matter of when you can be approved for the procedure. keep in mind not everyone is a candidate for this type of surgery so you may not be able to have it done. Also, keep in mind that in many the surgery will reverse itself and your eyes can go back to where they were or even worse in some cases. do your research before attempting any type of corrective surgery. You can get alot of information online about it but you can also make an appointment at your base clinic to be reviewed to see if you are eligible. Good luck to you.I have been told the USMC will pay for vision correction surgery of some kind. Is this true?
My husband paid for his own when he got out of the USMC, then needed a waiver for it when he joined the USN. I don't think it's true but you never know. They'll make you wear BCG's in boot camp though (birth control glasses, ugly as hell) so get ready for that.

Edit: Here is a link for you http://usmilitary.about.com/od/theorderl鈥?/a> I believe there is a certain program you'll need to enroll in. Good luck.
Yes, it is called birth prescription glasses. That they look so ugly that it will prevent you from getting made passes at.
yes they may put a microchip in your head so you can see better.
