Could Orwell's vision of the future come true?

From 1984? Explain your answer please.Could Orwell's vision of the future come true?
yeah, especially if things keep going on like they are: the big bad government is in control of banks, restricts us with (some) unneeded laws, and if universal medicare becomes a reality, then it would become a snowball effect (compounding) and the government would keep getting more and more powerCould Orwell's vision of the future come true?
1) Do your own homework.

2) It already has.

Derek Tee: As a resident of a country with universal health care, I tend to view it as less of a control and more a capitalistic exchange at the highest level - I pay a fee in taxes, and in exchange I am rendered medical services. It behooves a government to contribute to the physical well-being of its citizens, it's as much of a right as the pursuit of happiness which naturally follows in the wake of good health. As any democratically elected government is at the whim of its massed citizenry, it seems a natural extension that those citizens would demand to see results from the taxes they pay to government: roads, schools... and healthcare. Totally fair, I think, but that's neither here nor there. You're cataloguing the wrong symptoms.
It is very possible if capitalism collapses.
